Day 01 : Arrival in Delhi
Our representative receiving you at Delhi airport will
escort you to the hotel. Take the room. In the evening you
can enjoy the light and sound show at Red Fort. Overnight
stay in Delhi.
Day 02 : Delhi Sightseeing
Delhi, IndiaHave a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel. Then
you will go on a guided city tour in Delhi. First you
explore the monuments in New Delhi. Visit the Humayun’s
Tomb, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple, India
Gate, Parliament House, and National Gallery of Modern Art.
After lunch you will tour Old Delhi. The main attractions
are the Mughal monuments--Red Fort and Jama Masjid.
The rest of the time is for shopping. Delhi tops in India in
shopping. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 03 : Delhi - Bhubaneswar (By flight)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Domestic
airport. Board your flight to Bhubaneswar, the capital of
Orissa. On arrival at the airport meet our representative
and on assistance transfer to the hotel.
Today you will explore the Bhubaneswar city and its
attractions. Visit the Bindusagar Lake, Lingaraj Temple,
Orissa State Museum and Mukteshwara Temple. Then have dinner
and stay overnight.
Day 04 : Bhubaneshwar - (Sightseeing of Udaigiri -
Lalitagiri – Ratnagiri)
Bhubaneshwar, IndiaOn the 4th day of Orissa India Buddhist
tour you will visit the Buddhist sites of Orissa located
near Bhubaneswar. First you will tour the rock edicts of
Ashoka found at Dhauli hills 8 kms away from Bhubaneshwar.
Then you will set out the full day excursion tour to the
caves of Lalitgiri, Udaigiri and Ratnagiri.
Ratnagiri was a Buddhist learning centre till 12th century.
Here you will see the remains of the Mahavihara, the
monastic university. The caves of Udaigiri house some of the
Buddhist sculpture. Also explore the ruins of the ancient
monasteries, Stupas at Lalitgiri.
Then return back to Bhubaneswar and stay overnight.
Day 05 : Bhubaneshwar - Puri
Bhubaneshwar, IndiaAfter breakfast, you will be taken to
Puri, the Hindu pilgrimage site. Located along the shore of
Bay of Bengal Puri Beach houses the Jagganath temple which
is one of the holiest dhams of Hindus. Lots of tourists
visit this temple on a pilgrimage tour. The white-sand
beaches, fishing farms and superb resorts also make Puri one
of the exotic destinations of east coast of India.
On arrival take the hotel. Then visit the Puri beach. Enjoy
the sunset view. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 06 : Puri Sightseeing
The entire day is reserved for sightseeing in Puri. First
you will visit the Jagganath Temple, the holy Hindu Dham of
eastern India. The principal deity is Lord Shiva. The
architecture of the temple is of Kalinga style. The temple
towers 65 meters. Then explore the Atharnala Bridge, an
example of engineering marvel constructed in the 13th
century.
After lunch, you will drive to Chilka Lake, the largest
fresh water lake in Asia. Enjoy boat ride on the lake.
Explore the scenic beauty of the lake. Then return back to
the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 07 : Puri - Konark - Bhubaneswar
Konark, IndiaAfter breakfast, you will move towards to
Bhubaneswar. On the way you will visit the famous Sun temple
of Konark. It is a World Heritage Site. The temple was built
by Raja Narasinghs Deva-I of the Ganga Dynasty in the mid
13th century. This temple is known as Black Pagoda.
On reaching Bhubaneswar take the hotel. Stay overnight.
Day 08 : Bhubaneswar - Delhi - Departure
Transfer to the Bhubaneswar airport and catch your flight to
Delhi and then your flight back home
